Gave myself a little gift for 2011. It started out as a Losi Comp Crawler. I took it out of the box drove for 5 min then took it apart and assembled the running gear on a DMG chassis, HD spool and worm gears, Steel gears in the trans, and D_Lux hub weights

This little thing is amazing. I took my Trail Finder through the same rock garden and it really struggled where the LCC rolls right over.

Nice Bluedog!

I've been eying that chassis! I have Erik Delux's links which are sweet, now i want his weights! How do you like them? You HAVE to get a set of Sedona tires. You won't be disappointed!

cruisinmt, for the most part a MOA is going to be a little more capable just because of clearance not having drive shafts to get hung up on. Plus, it keeps more weight on the axles instead of in the chassis. However, a well set-up shafty will hang right there with a MOA and do just about everything the MOA will do. Plus, to me, it's more realistic and fun to have a shafty. That's my opinion at least.

The weights are very nice. To be honest, this is my first "real" crawler so I can't tell you how they perform relative to regular wheel weights. I can say the idea behind them is solid and makes sense.

bluedog,

Could you get a picture from the bottom of that bad a$$? I want to see where the links are mounted on the chassis side.

was doing some tweeking at the secret testing grounds :grinpimp: and really came to love how tunable the castle creations mamba max pro 1cell is. If you get the castle link you can hook it up and change throttle curves and all kinds of settings. But the cool one is the "cheat" mode!!

This first video is of the "stock" settings on a 3S lipo. :grinpimp:

This is the same truck with the "cheat" mode turned on and dialed up! :grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:

Finally got the picture you were asking about.

The trans mount is stock Losi LCC. The DMG Chassis bolts to it just like stock.

Thanks for those pics. I was thinking they might mount different to fix the whole driveshaft hitting the links issue. I may try the DMG topper.

Just ran Black Bear Pass last weekend...I got called a nerd for break'n out the RC:grinpimp:
