Where do you get the clear lenses?

I can get some of them (front blinkers, side ones and the (not pictured) rear ones as well) if interested.

Also I believe Cdan can get the front corners on the -94 models' for pretty good price.

Actually, that's not exactly true, some of the 8/90 to 8/91 US-spec FJ80's came with no fender flares and no rear sliding windows. The sliding window is actually a feature tied to Toyota's Trim level and Spec, not powertrain. Thus, STD-trim 80's in most markets didn't have the rear sliding windows (although some did), whereas most VX and VXL trim level 80's (again, with some market-specific exceptions) came with them. Then you have to take Spec (Tropical, Arctic, World, Gulf, and five country-specific Spec's, Venezuela and South Africa are two of them) into account as well. With Land Cruisers made for 140+ countries, you can imagine the endless variations.

also those early 91 US spec 80's had little tires and chrome wheels, no 3rd row seats(that is option that trigered the sliding windows in the US) and "maybe" no sunroof.

I "think" there are many OEM HID set-up's, such as with BMW that use the outer projector HID and inner halogen high beams. But when it comes to aftermarket replacement I have not seen too many aftermarket projector headlight replacement assemblies with HID's (I've only seen Hella and Cibie), [edit]usually for vehicles currently in production. I'm probably wrong as I was proven above.

Some thing I notice right off the bat:

1. Those chrome mirrors must have been added on later (only came with the 96 black edition as far as I know)

2. Clear signal lenses under the headlights, clear side-indicator lights, clear parking lights

3. HID headlights?

4. I can't quite make out what he has stuck on the grill to the right of the "TOYOTA" logo

5. He has reflectors on the sides of his front bumper

6. He has extend-a-flares on

Mot, those would be good if you could import to U.S in different colors backlighting... Xenon hyper bulbs maybe.... but the pics shows for 4.2 litre motors.

The instrumental panel in the pic is a prototype that has been in development by www.landcruiser80.com (I'm sure that's where you got it from). It is (not finished, yet) in an attempt to mimic the newer optitron(sp) lighting which lights up brightly even in the daylight, but failed miserably because with current set-up it lights up the entire instrumentation panel. Hope they'll rework it big time so they might end up with something decent.

FWIW--I got a ticket in PA last year, when I replaced the amber turn signal marker with a clear. The local officer obviously knew his PA vehicle code laws... the ticket stuck after a rigorous fight... Good thing I saved the ambers

Just curious, was it at night and also did you have the clear bulbs or the amber ones?

Would sticking a small amber reflector tape somewhere in near(below, including on bumper) the clear corners have made any difference?

Just wondering...
