Thanks to everyone who is patiently waiting for the restock. As the reviews have come in the list is growing longer, but I have diligently jotted down everyone who either contacted me or paid for the lights. I will get back to you in about a week (around the end of Feb). This is a bigger restock so it's taking a bit longer. Hopefully that means the supply will last a while.

I also want to thank everyone who sent in or posted photos of their rig with the new lights. After you put these on, you will look for a reason to go out at night!

@Racer65 Have these been tested yet in snowy conditions? I'm curious because there is very little heat output from an LED and driving in snowy conditions, it seem like the headlamp wouldn't melt snow off like a halogen or HID( Bi-xenon) light would. I've read a few things about the issue but just wanted to get your perspective.

Just fyi - I had been down that road with the concern of snow buildup on the lamps when running an led . No heat on the lens and one would think that would cause snow to build up - it doesn't on a Cruiser (at least on a 40) due to the bib and how the lamps stick out a bit . Now , on my old Samurai - it was a huge problem but that was due to how the nose was shaped around the lamps . If it did happen , you'll notice it quick since the lights go dim pretty fast . Last led I ran in my 40 was a set of the H4 conversions from Lifetime or one of those brands - the left when I traded off my Taco last year .

Thanks for that input Sarge. Being in California it's pretty difficult for me to know for certain.
Truck-lite does provide a version with heated lens, but you will pay dearly. I think you saved a lot of folks a ton of money!

My test input was from the IPF H4 lenses , running Shane's led bulb insert/conversion , just for reference . Absolutely no detectable heat in the lens , even after 30min sitting still with both elements lit on high beam . When I tested the light pattern it was during a blizzard here , no buildup on the lenses at all - the shape of the bib doesn't allow it to become a problem . In some ways , a cool lamp lens is better since the lack of heat doesn't melt the snow and make anything stick or build up - all good .

These were 30w led's from Metric TLC (Shane) . Pattern was good on low , but just not really enough on high - so the bulbs went into the Taco and actually worked excellent in it's stock '08 housings . I forgot about them until the last minute and they went with the truck when I traded .
The above picture doesn't really do the weather justice that night - it was pretty nasty out ...

Thanks for the info Sarge. Now the only excuse I have to not buy a pair right now is that my 60 is in pieces and not running.

Any update on fj60 compatibility?

Interested in a set when you get things resolved, good luck!

Are these still available? Is this second version with the DRL plug and play like the first version? I like the cable set up in the back on this, looks much higher quality than other 7" LEDs. Thanks!

Yes, it's still available and still plug and play. The headlights have a standard H4 connector as before. The DRL function requires a few additional wires to be hooked up, but it's pretty simple, as shown in these photos:

Thanks a lot! I am picking up my 40 this weekend and will be ordering in the next couple weeks
