So I put in some new LED tail lights and blinkers from digi-tails
which work great except it created the super fast blinker scenario. Digi-tails does send a new flasher relay with the kit that you can adjust the speed of the flash. However the relay is not the same relay pin configuration as my 88 FJ62 relay. So I found a cheap fix on amazon for $13. The relay from Amazon comes with a pig tail to plug into the slots as the actual relay is too big. The pig tail works great however I did have to trim the tabs slightly to make them fit into the relay pins under the dash. Also make sure you match the B/L/E wires with the original relay you pull out. Now my blinkers work as they should. I used the Amazon relay as the one sent from digitails did not work? Thought I would pass along the info for anyone wanting to switch to LED. My tailights are REALLY bright now so you cannot miss them. I switched everything mainly for safety as the regular bulbs are fairly dull.
