My son now 29 who learned to drive in my 45 PU at about the same age was home from Texas A&M a few years ago. As he got in the truck to run to the store I heard him say to the old beast,"You remember me?"

Thanks for reminding me.

A lot of things mark a person's character.
The way I can see you treat your granddaughter, and most likely her parent years ago, speaks volumes about YOUR character.
The grin on her face tells it all.
Happy early Fathers Day !

Sweet! Brings me back to teaching my daughter.

Fun hearing those tailgate chains clanking in the background the whole time.

:clap:
great female :steer:, thought this generation are able to drive automatic cars only ;)...
... a 45 would be a nice college car for her .
You buy the 45 :D she :steer:
Cheers
Peter

Hey Rob,

I couldn't view the video at work, I just saw it this morning when I got home. The smile on her face says it all. My 7 yr old wants to drive the shorty at the 45 run, should be fun!!!

"slowly,,,,,, slowly,,,, slowly,, slowly, slowly, slowly" (said faster and faster, hahaha)

That is awesome. I was the same age, here's a quote from a story I got published in Toyota Trails;
"a 1965 FJ45LV. It is the first stick shift I ever drove. It was not mine at the time—it was my cousin’s and he didn’t hide the keys very well…"

She will remember that forever, good job! Your grandkid's lucky.
