Hold down the Auto and Recirculation buttons then press Start x 2 w/o starting engine.
This should display any codes, mine is showing "49" and will not reset after holding Front and Rear defrost.

Code 45 on mine

Code 45 on mine
This is what I have found for codes. They all start with "B14" then the number like your 45 and my 49. Haven't dug in any more to see how to resolve the problem yet.

  • B1442 – Air Inlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit
  • B1443 – Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit
  • B1445 – Passenger-Side Cool Air Bypass Damper Control (indicates a fault in the bypass damper actuator or harness)
  • B1446 – Air Mix Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (Driver Side)
  • B1447 – Rear Air Mix Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (Driver Side)
  • B1448 – Passenger-Side Face-Air Servo Motor Circuit (face-air duct actuator)
  • B1449 – Rear Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (rear-HVAC outlet actuator)
  • B1457 – Driver-Side Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (driver side outlet actuator)
  • B1458 – Passenger-Side Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (passenger side outlet actuator)
  • B1486 – Driver-Side Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (alternate designation for the driver outlet actuator)
  • B1488 – Rear Air Mix Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit (Front Passenger)
Additionally:
Here is a link to a PDF about servo motors for 2016-2017 although you may find it helpful for your 2018. Neither of our codes look easy to solve.

In a last effort as I prepped to understand what I would be disassembling and what parts I needed. I sat in my back seat and kept cycling through the vent options, I did this about ten times. It appeared that it was all working and I did not feel a change between the first and final cycle. However, the following day I noticed the AC was at my previous settings and the seats were still on Auto. I checked the code and it was still there, cleared the code and checked again and it's now "00". Not sure what happened but happy I don't have to fix it for now! Been working OK for a month.

May or may not be applicable to others, but I finally fixed my ac issues.

Went to Toyota and had them run a diagnostic on the ac system. Cost $100.

They found the servo was bad for the temp mixer.

Went to a good independent shop. Pulled the dash completely. Replaced all the servos, because didn’t want to have to pull the dash again when the other servos die.

137k miles. Apparently, tundras and cruisers both have these servo issues.

Wasn’t cheap, but problem now solved. No more ac codes.

Indy shop agreed to charge by actual time spent pulling dash and replacing servos.

Their actual time was far lower than the Toyota book time.

See this thread is still active, I reattached the arm after buying the Ih8mud solution, luckily my arm wasn’t broken, however, when going from recirc to fresh the door does not close all the way, anyone have any thoughts?

If it doesn't close all the way, then the arm is probably not seated properly in the track.

Is the cabin air filter fully seated in its frame?
