LC Springs for third gen 4Rnr

I am a long time Land Cruiser guy, so I have never ventured over to the this side of he board. Having said that, I just bought a '97 4Runner for my son's first set of wheels. Being the Land Cruiser guy I am, I have acess to a wealth of 80 Series parts. My son's first mod plans for his new ride is to get that junk off the grass.

QUESTION......
How much rear lift comes from using a set of 80 Series Land Cruiser front springs on the rear of the 4Rnr? If it is not more than 3 inches I am tempted to go that route just to save some coin. I dont want to over lift the rear end and not be able to level out the front without causing driveline problems or completely sacrificing ride quality (remember, I drive an 80 on 35's).
If the 80 series front coil springs are not a good option, what are the best suggestions for a quality lift on the south side of $1000.

Most guys get 3.5" out of the 80 coils. A friend used 80 series coils out back and Tundra coil overs up front and has not had any problems.

Depends on the year, there are different spring heights.

Most guys get 3.5" out of the 80 coils. A friend used 80 series coils out back and Tundra coil overs up front and has not had any problems.

The Tundra TRD coil-overs up front, and LC80 springs/dampers in rear, are the best lift money can buy for a 3rd gen 4runner. This setup rides beautifully off road.

This lift can be had for much less than a grand. All you have to do is to check your local junk yards for Tundra TRD coil-overs and use your LC80 springs/dampers.

Having said that, this lift will be nowhere near level. But that does not matter, you really do not want to level this kit.
