Hi there

I have been bAsed in Saudi for the past 5 years. My DD is an FJ cruiser. As you may know Toyota does offer the LC 70 here as pick up and regular cab.

I really like its loom and functionality and prefer the pick up version. Here are the specs : http://www.toyota.com.sa/brochures/18.pdf

It is really loved here by a few people and rare in the used market.....it has the 1 GR-FE engine.

What makes the LC 70 mor performing that an FJ cruise off road ?
Does the LC 70 comes with a rear e locker or limited slip diff from the factory ?

I was also in Saudi last year for a couple of months. I really enjoyed the landcruisers everywhere :grinpimp:
Most of them are the V6 petrol engines indeed. But on our site there were also a few HZJ79's.
As european i prefer the 4.2 litre diesel, but the sound and the power of the V6 petrol aren't bad at all!

Do the LC 70 in Saudi comes with a rear and front e locker ?

I'm not sure, but I think that the 79 I drove there didn't have it. Otherwise I should have noticed it. I'm quite interested in cars like that...

Is the 79 a diesel mainly ?

How does the LC 70 handle as a DD with rear leaf springs ?

The 79's I drove over there had more leafs than my 79 in holland. So driving is even more though than my 79, especially in desert. In holland I placed a 10 mm steel plate in my tray as counterweight. It's for towing trailers and a little bit more comfort.

The 79's in saudi are mostly petrols, I believe that's the GR engine or something like that.
