I just found out I have all this week off so I am going to take a last minute trip through the southwest leaving TOMORROW!!!! I need some quick suggestions. I have Today through Monday off. I am leaving out of Pasadena Tuesday morning.
So far I have scheduled one day in Monument valley, one day in Moab and stopping at Bryce canyon on the way to Zion.
Now I could take freeways to and from all those places but does anyone have any suggestions on lesser traveled paths to connect those place?
While in each place I want to be able to do some back country trails. I know there are some good roads in Monument valley and more than I can imagine or possibly do in one day in Moab. If you could do one trail in Moab that is moderate what would it be? I have a 100 series with 2.5 lift on 295/75R16 tires. No bumpers, sliders and only center lock diff (yet).
The goal here is to take my wife and son to some new places and do a few fun trails along the way. Not necessarily hit every hardcore trail in the southwest. just some nice remote scenic backcountry drives.
Suggestions suggestion suggestions....go!
