3/4" threaded gas pipe, two 3/4" flanges, 1" flex wire loom, and a piece wood or your favorite material for a top. One flange gets mounted to the floor board the other flange to the material you used for the top. Thread the gas pipe into the flange on the top and tighten completely. Cut a piece of the flex wire loom to cover the gas pipe and slide it on. Now screw the pipe into the the flange mounted to your floor board. The unit should be able to swivel in the bottom flange so don't tighten all the way.

You can incorporate elbows and other items found in the same isle of your Home Depot if you like.

Does that mount system work well for 60 series trucks?
 
I'll second the RAM Mount. Lots of different options to fit many different vehicles, including 3 universal mounts. After talking with their support to determine which would be the best solution I installed a RAM POD III in my 80. I've been very happy with it.
