Lake Afton car show Sunday 6/8

Don P. asked me to post up some info on the Lake Afton car show this Sunday. Below is some additional info. Looks like a darn good time as long as the weather cooperates.

June 8. Wichita (rain date June 15--tune to KEYN 103.7 for weather delay updates at 9:00 AM on Sunday), KS: 36th Annual Lake Afton All Wheels Car Show hosted by the Wichita Area Council of Car Clubs. 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year featuring the Wichita Area Early Ford V8 club. "The largest FREE car show in the world." Vendors & food concessions available. This is a teddy bear collection site for EMS, Sheriff, and Fire Departments. Per Sheriff and County rules: NO ALCOHOL; NO OPEN FIRES; NO BURNOUTS; AND GOLF CARTS ONLY FOR HANDICAPPED USAGE. Very good car show, usually a lot of nice cars and trucks. Hope the weather holds, if not the rain date is usually the following Sunday.

For Merril, it has been like shooting fish in a barrel this spring on the accuracy of his forecasts.

I'd sure like a break in the spring storms.... I need a few weeks off right now. Heading back to Garden City/Dodge City area Thursday and Friday for more hail damage, then Inman and Stafford on the way home for wind and tornado damage. May go to Topeka next week to help out up there........
