Earned my right of passage last weekend, rebuilt the knuckle with the kit from CruiserOutfitters with Koyo wheel bearings, fantastic company. First side took a little longer just learning where everything goes and all that. Second side would have been a piece of cake had the inner wheel bearing and upper trunion bearing race not frozen resulting in me having to cut them off lol. Getting her back on the road, there was quiet a bit of noises, pulled her back in and noticed that when I set the preload, both sides had more room to be “pressed” onto the spindle. Tightened her up and she’s solid and quiet now!

Hopefully you were pounding on your lower steering arm on the right side while tightening the nuts to 71 LB-FT to make sure it is fully seated.
