Enigma:
The wheelers down here DO NOT recommend the air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It can't draw enough amps to work as well. That other one, the Toronado, looks like it came from the same company that made mine, although the appearance has some differences. It does have the clip on battery terminals which is the right way to go. The carrying bag looks like the same one as mine too.
As for running the tires home at low pressure, that might damage the sidewalls at highway speed.

Bill, shoot me a note from the info@ address for G&S and I will give you a bunch of info on the converter/load balancer.

Greg, I'm not sure what you are asking for here, the website for the Automotive Electrical Info is:
http://www.bcael.com/resistrs.htm

Wait a minute, I just figured out what you want me to do.

Aye Captain. Mine is the Tornado III, which only comes with the alligator clips for direct battery terminal connection. And seeing how my 40 is a non-smoking vehicle ( well actually I think it's pretty smoking :)), ie: sans cigarette lighter, that is a non-issue for me.

As for sidewall damage, Yah probably. They are 20 year old BFG mud terrains, would give me a good excuse to get some swampers or something.

Yarr!

Yup, info@gscruiserpa... and I will get that info on the solar converter off to you.

Also, did you drive or fly to the USA? I wonder how many of the club would be interested in buying out the remaining 5 MF1050 Tsunami High Volume Air Compressor from this retailer on e-bay: 150153338469 $40.00 USD is a good price.

I would be in for one more...
