If anyone has been on the fence about purchasing a Yaesu FT-8800 dual band radio, I think now is the time.
Thread in the electronics section mentioned closeout pricing on it, so I checked it out. $289, regularly $389. Been wanting to put one in the Prius for quite awhile and pulled the trigger on it. It's not even on the HRO site any longer! It's still at Universal Radio and Gigaparts at the same price - inclusive of the head separation kit. Will obviously still need an antenna, hatch mount and external speaker. Now the fun of researching Prius boards on mounting options. At least the battery for the Prius is in the rear where the head unit will go so wiring power will be a piece of cake.
