Hey.
I'm running a Kenwood Excelon DDX595 head unit in my 80, and the thing has been a non-stop disappointment. I have updated firmware, updated, and rolled back my phone (iPhone 8), used 4 different lightning cables (2 brand new apple).
My first issue was with WAZe. It never worked, and I guess it never will (waze has not updated in a manner that will be compatible with secondary devices I guess). That's all well and good, but when I try to run the default apple maps app through weblink it shows up very odd and washed out on the display.
I also have random issues with the phone not letting me play music as if the phone were an ipod instead of over Bluetooth.
It looks like Kenwood will still "support" weblink, but on their website, it is never mentioned in conjunction with any 2019 car audio products.
Do any of you run a weblink deck, and what apps have you found that seem to work well?
Thank you for any help.
