Baja California, Mexico – (November 20, 2011) After a lengthy delay, due to a jack-knifed passenger truck towards the start line, the Class 8 division headed out for their adventure in the desert with Kent Kroeker representing General Tire (Team GT). The 2004 Baja 1000 winner maneuvered through the treacherous terrain with one goal in mind, another win. And that’s just what he did. Kroeker completed the 692-mile course without incident claiming his second Baja 1000 victory.*

“It’s great to see General Tire get two wins at the Baja 1000,” said Travis Roffler, marketing director, General Tire. “Kent is an excellent representative for General Tire and we couldn’t be happier to see him on top of the podium.”

“This is just awesome,” said Kroeker following the race. “To win the Baja 1000 once is amazing but to win it a second time is awesome. The KORE team prepared a great truck for me and my General tires held up great. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I have to thank everyone that helped me get here today. This is a fantastic day!”
