Kenda Klever R/T Metric vs Imperial (1 Viewer)

I have a GX460 that I'm wanting to get new tires for.

I've narrowed it down to Kenda Klever R/Ts in either LT265/70R17 or 33x10.5R17LT.

Other than the diameters of 31.89" vs 32.76" and widths of 10.83" vs 10.47" are there any other distinguishing factors to impact my decision? The imperial can be put on a slightly wider wheel, despite having less physical width, but both will work on my wheels. Load range, max psi and speed ratings are essentially the same.

I'm pretty new to off-roading, so I'm not sure what I'm missing with respect to the differences between metric and imperial. Why not call the 33 a 265/75/17?

I'm currently at stock height and suspension, but plan to lift 1-2" and will be on 17x8.5" wheels with a -12mm offset, if that matters at all.

The 33x10.5 is a heavy tire for some reason. I have a set ready to be mounted once I get a lift installed on the GX. They came out at ~62# each when on the bathroom scale. The 265/70 is listed at 46.7# at CWO, so a significant reduction in weight for the smaller tire. You can also likely get the 265/70 at a bit of a discount to the 33s. The 33s come with 19mm tread compared to the 16mm on the 265/70s.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't catch the weight difference. That's enough weight to be a deciding factor for me.

I think I'll go with the 265s unless another shiny object catches my attention before I click the "buy" button.
