I had someone install towing airbags on my 2016 LC 200. After the install the rear drivers side was about 1/2" inch higher than the passenger side of the vehicle. While attempting to adjust the KDSS, they turned one of the valves too far and dumped a substantial amount of fluid on to the ground (and on their face, but they're ok). The vehicle now is an 1/8" higher on the drivers side. I had them finish up and I'm now going to take it to the dealership, however they can't get to me until 3 weeks from now.

The steering wheel makes a subtle noise while turning now too, but they did no work to the front end. Weird.

My questions -
1. Is it safe to casually drive this around while I wait?
2. How many hours should I expect the dealer to realign the KDSS and re-pressurize the fluid?

I had this happen to my truck, itll be all good.
Its ok to drive just no evasive manuvers. Itll feel wobbly at highway speeds. Give plenty of distances between you and others on the road. It took my local dealership a full day to recharge the drained kdss system. The reason I received was that tye master tech had done the kdss refill before when training and that had been some time ago. I think they went to school on me, I dont care, it works as it should. Expect to shell out anywhere frome $600-$1000 depending on where you live and what dealership you work with. Your truck will be fine afterwards. Glad to hear the person that turned the valve to much and got squirted in the face will be ok.
Cheers

Is it the steering wheel itself making the subtle noise, or something in the front end? The KDSS has components in the front suspension too, so loss of fluid may affect how those work (or sound?) until you get the system recharged.

Are you considering asking the shop that did the airbag install to pay for the KDSS work? That was clearly their fault for not following the right procedure.

Thanks guys.
The sound is coming from the steering column. I think it's best to wait for the KDSS work to see if it still persists.
The airbag shop will be paying for the KDSS work.

i was about to run through a similar process to have airbags installed. mine already has a slight lean which from the reading here is a natural factory lean....

so is there a published process installers should be using to adjust / re-trim the KDSS system here on Mud? I haven't run a thorough search but thought Id post here first in case there is domain knowledge of the topic on this thread.

Thanks in advance!
