We recently purchased a Kamp-rite dbl tent cot from trdparts4u. We used it on the Rubithon dbl locker run. We used it 4 nights and it worked great ! It sets up very easy and fast, and is very comfortable.
I secured it to the top of my 40 w/full cage with 2 ratchet straps. It weighs 30 % of our mombassa RTT, which was great as we did'nt run any bypasses and the trail gets gnarly in spots and it did'nt really affect the COG.
We saw a few of the single tent cots, and alot of people were curious about ours. It was nice not to have to sleep on the ground (granite mostly).
The only thing i don't like is the fiberglass poles (2) that make the dome. The connector is in the middle of the 2 poles and puts too much pressure at the top of the arc, effectively kinking the fiberglass, and is now broken. I just ordered parts for Easton aluminum poles that should hold up much better.
We are glad we purchased this and can't wait to use it again.
Thanks to the people a trdparts4u, you rock !

Mike

P.S. We also bought the PETT system and it works great. The :princess: really liked the privacy and convenience.

Hey Mike,

This is Jacque from trdparts4u...

I'm glad the new gear worked out for you, sorry to hear about the poles, I will call Kamprite 1st thing tomorrow and at least get another set of poles headed your way.

Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you.

Jacque

Hey people,
THIS is what you call customer service ! I was'nt going to bother calling about the poles as its not that big a deal. FYI, if the poles were 3 piece it prolly would hold up better.
Thanks Jacque. With service like this you can expect you're biz to explode !
BTW, people were stoked on the swag. They gave most off it away at the raffle, and i gave some away prior to.
Mike

Mike,

I spoke with Joan @ KAMP-RITE, she is sending out a new set of poles today, I should have a tracking number for you later this afternoon.

She did say that every so often the poles are cut just a little too long.

Thanks for the kind words, and again I apologize for the hassle.

Jacque

Like i said, you guys ROCK!

Mike

Got the new poles yesterday. The new ones are about 1" shorter and better quality. Put it together and all is good. Now all i need is more snow to melt in the high country. Thanks again Jacque.
