just sold my 75 fj , now im new to the 4 runner game!

well s*** got rough and had to sell the fj due to my ex wife wanting to do another custody battle. had to sell the fj40 to pay the lawyer man. lucked out tho a guy down the street had this forsale. he said it was not running and was 100 percent sure the fuel pump died (you may have seen the other post i had up). he wanted $1500 and i talked him down to $1100. i bought it but was un sure for paying that much for a truck not knowing why it was really broke down. anyways got it home today and started tinkering with it. found a loose + battery terminal, tightened it up and GUESS WHAT???!!!! she fired right up! took her for a cruise and it ran pretty damn good .
anyways not sure on plans yet other than a daily driver but its a unmolested91 4 runner SR5 with all the power extras and goodies, even a moon roof!!! super clean interior and just a little easily fixed surface rust on the outside( oh and its missing the fuel door). anyways couple pics

Sorry to hear about the circumstances, but sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal on the 4Runner.

Couple of minor houskeeping things that you might want to check on: first see if you can find out when the timing belt was last done. Second make sure the cooling system is in good shape, I am not sure when the infamous HG issues started but it might be worth a call the your local Dealer to see if the HG was recalled and if it was done. As long as you keep the cooling system in good shape and the timing belt is good then it should give you plenty of good miles.

Nice find, and just so you know, you might check over on Yotatech and read a little too. They tend to have a little deeper following on these models. I try and live in both worlds, but tend to spend more time over here.
