I was just working on one of the F-550 Super Duty's at my station. Every time I look under these, I marvel at the use of unboxed frames for weight savings.
My personal experience with these frames was a 1996 Bronco that went too fast around a wet turn (ex). The front tire hit the curb when it slid (30mph) and bounced over. Put a nice bend on one side of the frame.
Needless to say, I was not impressed.
I'll take a high strength steel boxed frame for $200 Bob.
