about a stock truck

My good friend, whom some of you met, owns a 89 jdm 60 series truck and would love to join us on this trip. His concern is that having a stock vehicle the trip might be too challenging. He uses the truck as a daily driver and would hate to put a scratch on it.
The question I have is can he make it without "hurting" his baby?

Mat: Where is the Starbucks Pinetree? I don't know that area.
Re the roads up there, I expect its just gravel travel to the campsite. We can search for trails up in the mountains later. I'll talk to Mike McT and see what he says. The more Cruisers, the merrier!

Bill - the Starbucks is right beside the Save on Foods in the strip mall that is across the street from Coquitlam Centre.

Marcin - almost all runs we go on, stock trucks can make it to base camp. After that if the roads get to hairy, the stock trucks can be left in camp with the gear. That person can then ride with someone that has a spare seat.

Traci - are you still going up Friday?

Mat - where's your flickr?

Craig.

Mat:
It would be better to meet at Steve T's place on Sharpe St because we have to take the Port Mann bridge anyway. Do you know where that is, off Chilco?
I'll email you Gary T's cell phone #, I have yours.
~Bill

OK Coastal Cruisers, slight change of plans. Mike McT wants to spend the Friday night, June 30 at Tyner Lake, NOT Gypsum Lake. I'm going to attach a map here, showing the area. So, you go up the Coquilhalla to Merritt, and on to Lower Nicola and up the Chataway Lakes Road as we outlined before. However, you come to a fork in that road and take to the left along the Skuhun-Primanus road to Tyner Lake. We can camp there somewhere around the lake and explore Friday night and Sat morning while waiting for the rest of the group. Saturday we can move north to Billy Lake to camp Sat night. Petra, don't fret, you'll still get home in time for work. Sunday over the hump to Mamit Lake.

Everybody bring whatever walkie-talkie, VHF, CB, FRS, or other radio so that we can set up some kind of comunications grid. Also, I made a couple of cardboard CC signs to indicate our campsite.

one more question...

Would be woth to bring a canoe? Will we have time to paddle around in on of the lakes?

Hi guys, sorry I have been swamped with work for the past week and did not even look in the general direction of my computer. :censor:

Yes we can meet at Steve's at 2pm (unless that time has changed) on Friday and head out from there.
Gary - I'll call you Friday around 12.

Hey Craig, sorry, please refer to previous post - I've been swamped with work.
I still have not even had a chance to finish off the rock sliders I started right after the last trip. I should be able to get set up with flickr after this strip and send the pics. You coming out too?
Mat

Hey Mat. I was going to go, but my vehicle needs a part before I can even start fixing it. I have one on order, but from New York, so arrival time? At this rate I won't be ready for the weekend. Looks like quality time with the wife.

Craig.

Who's heading up on Saturday?

We will be leaving Steve T's place @ 8:30am, Correct?

correct

Craig: Petra has room in her vehicle.
Mat & Petra: That cell phone number of Gary T's is no longer in service. We'll just have to do without it. Mat: I'm going to try to get to Steve's a little earlier, say 1:30 if possible. Traffic will be wicked. Petra: if we are a little late, its because of traffic on the freeway. We'll come as quickly as we can.
