John Bull Trail

Me and a bunch of guys from our club, plan on doing John Bull on Friday, so I started looking up some info on the trails we plan on taking there, so I looked on the San Berdo forest site, and it mentioned that 1N54 is closed, due to a bolder on the trail, I guess this is about 1 mile from 2N10, on Clarks Grade.

Does anyone know for sure that the trail is closed right there?

The notice was posted in Dec 2012. Of course, the ranger stations are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we areeaving Thursday.

IF Clarks Grade is bad, you can always take Radford Grade, they both go from 1N09 to Big Bear.

Both are fun easy trails.

Thanks, I checked the sbnf site, and now 1N54 is no longer closed... Weird.

I have the trail mapped out, but once I get to skyline Dr, it wants to take me through snow summit... confused. I've never done this part of the trail to big bear before.

Its been a few years but Radford drops you out at the top of the ski resort, then you have to cross through town.
