I need to know the dimensions of the tailgate on a CJ-7/CJ-8.

If your brother ain't got the tailgate no more maybe you could just measure the openin' in your old tub where the tailgate goes ... prob'ly be good enuff.

I'm at the gate right now at Newark airport fixin' to fly home. Maybe you can get James Dixon to come over this weekend and pick-up all them parts outta my shop.

Bryan done called and informed me that the tailgate is 16.25" X 35.5" ...

and a kind gentleman on the Trailer Tech Forum posted up that the ass-end panel on that lil' military trailer is 17.75" X 37.75" ...

A perfect friggin' fit.

One-stop shopping for factory tailgate, hinges, brackets, cables, and latches ... plus it says "jeep".

Project's gettin' off to a great start.
