Looking to import a JDM 200 to UK to replace my 03 4.2 td manual 100 that I have had for 13 years.
We suffer a lot of corrosion over here, (salted roads, live near the coast, and drive through floods regularly in the winter).
I eventually removed AHC from the 100 after too many issues all corrosion related.
JDM choice is "ZX" with AHC, "AX G Selection" with KDSS or the lesser "AX" with neither.
I will do an annual rustproofing (lanoguard) but will keep the truck for 10+ years so will likely end up with some corrosion issues.
Any ideas on reliability of the KDSS vs AHC in a salty environment?
Truck is used mostly on road, some farm tracks etc and regular floods 70cm +, off roading is to get places rather than for the fun of it.
I don't like the agricultural ride of the 100 on OME suspension and do miss the AHC, but find my wife's Rav4 ride acceptable.
