If I'm gonna go a bit far, I'll stay a couple of days and camp...

I've got a funeral to go to on Saturday... but I've been wanting to get out some where local too. I've been so busy with work & kids I don't get out much... turning into a friggin hermit..... But my brother and I were throwing around the idea of Rowher Flats in Santa Clarita/Valencia area... There is a really STEEP, tall and rutted hill climb on the back side near Bouquet Reservoir overall a short and fun trail with nice views and close to home.... If we do go it will most likely be Sunday AM. But won't know until Saturday..

Good trails at Rowher Flats, but havnt been there in a while.

I heard rumors that it was closed, but no solid info.

I haven't been there in a while either... last time it was muddy on the back trails and I came close to rolling my jeep over and down the side of the hill..... talk about pucker factor!
 
Last I talked to the Rangers up at Rowher, it will be closed until Nov. 09. Imagine it would be fun to be one of the first ones in after they open it back up!

That ones the back side of Rowher trail and it can get hairball in a hurry!
