I am looking at a 2wd 1994 4runner with 188K miles. Motor and drivetrain in solid shape All electric with cloth interior in great shape, and body is in great shape. Is 2800.00 a decent price?
Thanks

It is manual, and 2wd, and is for my son who will be turning 16 in a few weeks. I am not looking for a truck he can take off road, but something that is safe and reliable

well you did not say that in your first post!

that said still i would not pay that, look up kbb.com!

just a thought he is at school it starts snowing the school has early release but (this is Texas so we will say there is already an inch of the white on the ground) he has to drive that heavy ass light in the rear truck home. now how is that safe?

I should have put additional information up in the original post. As we continue to have snow and ice dusting us in the Texas Hill country, 4X4 would be useful for him. The nada price is higher than asking price, but i believe we will pass and keep looking. Thanks for information and comments

Hey Craig, good call on passing. Why not get him a 1st gen 4runner with a 22re? They are pretty near bullet proof. Plus he could have some fun with it. And you too if you ever want to drive it :)

i dont think craig78676 is a serious toyota guy anyways.

Seems pretty reserved considering he wont even let his kid have a 4wheel drive.

I tell you what, when I was a kid if i didnt have my truck to take into the woods i would have found alot worse stuff to get myself into trouble with.

KBB is an awesome ref. i use it to haggle/hustle when buying used cars.
i prolly would pay only 2000 if it was super clean
