Is the 200 series special?

Tons of GL320s around these parts. 75k each and people love them. Everyone (8+ folks) that I talked to said they would much rather have a Land Cruiser in diesel instead of the Benz but Toyota does not have one here. I ask everyone of them, most people love talk to vehicles.

Exactly....you, other wheelers.....you are not the typical new LC buyer. Nobody wants the diesel in the US.

I am talking about the Luxo boat GL320 benz with a diesel that tons of people are buying new. They have no idea that Toyota even makes a diesel and then I am like what about a turbo diesel LC with better fuel economy and better reliability? And they almost all say a Toyota with Toyota reliability and a turbo diesel would be sweet.

You would need to keep the diesel and drive it forever to justify it based solely on the increased MPGs compared to gas engine power.

I don't think I'd ever keep it that long but I'd still love to have a diesel instead of the gas model. And I too have considered the GL320 CDI but it's their larger GL 450 CDI that they offer outside the US that I'd love to have. Even more power and more torque.

By the time Toyota comes out with diesels here in the US we'll be using hydrogen power
