Quick background info. Picked up my rig (2005 LX) in April of 2017 and it had lights on the dash (VGRS, VSC OFF, VSC, height control OFF). I ended up getting a Dorman 924755 sensor and swapped it out, all the lights went away and the height control worked fine. About 5 months ago the height control stopped working and VSC OFF VSC AND VRGS lights are back (VRGS stoops blinking after about 5 -10 minutes of driving). I finally got a chance to check out the sensor and found the following OHM readings

1&2 - .99-4.6k

1&3 - 4.7-4.7k

2&3 - .73-4.7k

1&3 turned half way 4.8k

1&2 2&3 turned half way 6.3 and 6.03

Based on reading other forums it seems not in line with what it should be, also there’s a shiny spot in the carbon path on the lid of the sensor.

So, is it shot? If so, should I get another Dorman seeing as that one only lasted a year or year and a half? And I don’t think any water intruded, looks clean. Thanks in advance!

Looks like its shot to me. Did you keep the sensor that you removed before installing the Dorman sensor? If so and the backing plate looks good, maybe try putting that on the Dorman.
Mix-n-match... it wont cost anything and might buy you some time.

That’s smart. I don’t think I kept the old one, unfortunately. I’ll try to contact Dorman and see if they can send just a backing plate. Thanks!

Hows mine compare?
