Is it too early to think about September’s trail run?

All three sound great, I need to head home on Sunday morning around 10:00. The Pot Belly would be the best for cell phone reception if possible, unless we camp near the top of something. The second option was not even something that occurred to me until yesterday. A few weeks ago, I drove up 300 and ran up through 517 near the top, but ventured farther west in and out of small loops, turned around at Green Ridge which heads south towards Chambers Lake. I eventually decided to drive back on Deadmans due to the time of day.

I am not sure what we are responsible for as I have not heard back from Lenora. I will try ringing her again in a few minutes.

I'll go through the phone numbers tonight and get a tally of who is coming up the 8th and who is coming up the 9th. If anyone wants to ring in here on this thread instead, let me know.

Update:
I reached Lenora and she informed me that we are mainly concerned with 517 itself, starting from Manhattan Road #162 and linking with 300 on the South side of Middle Bald Mtn. She also told me that there was also Sand Creek, which is ~13 miles south on 162 from Red Feather, that had not seen any cleanup either. She also said that most of them are 2wd capable.

Sounds like a good weekend! I Plan on being there Saturday and camping. Any thoughts about where to camp? Anything we should bring besides food and the usual camping supplies??

that is a good question what do we need to bring for the clean up? Big trash bags, anything else?

Do we do dinner as a club and potluck style or does every one fend for themselves?

I thought food would be up to each person to fend for themselves. Not sure if this is the usual way the club does things just thought it would be the easiest way myself.

Rake, Shovel and Gloves. I don't think we will use them all, but wouldn't hurt. High of 70 Saturday, low of 44 Saturday night and as high of 67 Sunday. Only a slight chance of rain. Better bring some warm clothing also.

(As Frank would say):

:shotts:

For anyone that will be joining us late on Saturday, we are going to be up the 517 TH, which is a little less than 2.5 miles south of Red Feather Lakes on 162. Don't forget that I have the Diamond Plate "HT 4x4" sign to point anyone in the direction of camp.
