Is FJ60 front axle a bolt in for FJ55

I want disks for my 74' FJ55, is a FJ60 front axle a bolt in? I know I would have to put in the 55's gears. I just wanted to know if it'll fit or do I need to look for a later 40 or 55 front axle. I know I could do a mini conversion, but theyre hard to find around here, and the 55 is my daily driver. I could swap out the whole front axle in a day. Thanks, Hodag

Nope.A FJ40 axle would work though.

You could use the 60 as the parts donor for the disk swap. Then you get the less expensive vented rotors.

60 housing is too wide, but bolt on the 60 knuckles to the 55 housing and call it good.
