OK its been 14 years since I pulled my Tough Dog h/d rear springs. And I'm over GVM :) at times. OK, most of the time.
Heres whats left of my 35mm (not sure it was a LONG time ago) poly coil spacer. Must have eaten away most of it over time no wonder the back wasn't sitting at the ride height it used to LOL. Both sides are the same, extremely CRUSTY !
Anyway, new longer and heavier springs going in with OEM rubber insulators now.

Looks like it has been about... hmmm... 13 years 6 months since you were under the rig for anything at all!

One generally can't see over the tops of the springs up inside the coil towers especially when you're not looking for it...

I was just yanking your chain a bit. ;) But now I am wondering if you guys in Oz have some sort of different suspension system, cause an '80 on the hoist right now and another on the floor beside it and I can see every bit of the spring/spring tower/spot where the spacers go on either one of them. 🤔

I am wondering more though about just what kind of bugs and creepy crawlers you have down there that eat poly that way!!! 😲

Anyway, proper coils in now no spacers but I might have to invest in longer shocks I lost so much down travel jacking the axle up to the shock mounts...

It is sand on the beach. lol

I had the same thing happen with my polly spacers after about 10 years. They are constantly undergoing compression/expansion and are subject to the environment. Like anything rubber or plastic, it wears out over time.

What the abject upside down balls?! What were those made of? Cotton candy?
Yeah replace and monitor. That's just silly-goose bullsh**.
