IQotD for May 5: Slee aux harness and Hella 500s

Here is the Idiot Question of the Day (IQotD) for Saturday May 5. Yes I have searched and no I could not find it addressed.

I have the Slee headlight and aux harnesses on my 95. I have added Hella 500 amber fogs. I have a switch from a 4Runner. The lights don't work.

I had PIAA 520 driving lights which worked fine.

The Hellas have a single wire coming out of the lamp. So I properly grounded the aux harness black leads and connected the blue leads to the lamps.

Any ideas? And save the commentary on the Hellas please....;p

The hellas should have 2 wires coming out, a blue and a black

I had problems with my 500's. It turned out to be the switch was not connected right. Run a different switch and see if that solves it. Also recheck your grounds, I had trouble with thoughs as well.

I wanted to follow up on this one. The Hella 500 amber fogs have a single white wire, which is the bulb power.

The system must be grounded to the rim around the bulb opening. There is a spade for the ground wire.

So the Slee aux harness can power the single-wire Hella 500's w/ no modifications.
