My 10 month old Yellow Lab Cooper. Already tipping the scales at 96lbs...

Dude, our dogs could be brother and sister. Here's a shot of my yellow female with her other brother. Came out of a Snohomish, WA breeder, she's about 5 now.

Wow man, that is nuts. I got him from a couple here in Eugene area(Elmira) and this was the only litter they allowed their two to have. Both parents were from champion hunting bloodlines, one from San Diego area, and one from Montana. He is a really smart dog, but I swear I'm gonna go broke buying his food... I've got a lot of compliments on his coat, and how it has the light, almost white over his shoulders and then darkens down his body. I think it looks really cool.

He does. His grandparents were from England and were bought by some folks in Canada, iirc. His parents did some showing, but he's thinner than the labs you see trotted around Westminster. I don't have any pics of him running around in the yard to compare, but he looks like his parents, but a little thinner...

I really need to take a little video of him walking around the yard and post it up - he trots like a freakin' Clydesdale. I get a kick out of watching him.

He's not a pussy show dog, though. He loves duck hunting.

I'm am 100% sure the show dogs would too, if given the chance. They're hard-wired for it.

So, am I earning ANY street cred for this + ID and also the American Bulldog in the other thread?

Didn't think so, fxxxers.

I dunno about the show dog thing. My dog is good enough for hunting, but he is nothing (in the looks or performance dept) like dogs that are bred and trained for field trials. A dual champion lab is rarer than a hen's tooth.

If you keep your grass like that at your new house you won't have to buy a mower.

yeah, it beats to s*** pretty bad right there with the traffic

My wife decided it would be a good idea to put rocks there about a year or so ago. I came home and they were there. I asked her if she considered how awesome that was gonna for the mower when they got dispersed in the yard...

Might want to lose the "hen's teeth" reference from your inventory:
Mutant Chicken Grows Alligatorlike Teeth: Scientific American

But, your point stands. I do think the difference is in the training, primarily, not in the bloodline.

Frame them in with landscaping timbers or something. I broke a brand spanking new $500 window when my mower flung a 2" stone through it. Then I framed the rocks in to keep them out of the yard. And then there's the weeds that grow up through the rocks. Pretty much have to RoundUp those, or use a weed whacker.

Oooh - huge disagreement on that one. You know how much money dual champion dogs and pups would bring? If all it took was training, people would try like hell to take show dog pups and work them in field trials. It just doesn't happen.

It's just like how every six foot nine tall person in the world doesn't automatically become an awesome hoops player.

fxxx it - I ain't gonna live there much longer

My dogs do the same thing and my wife did the same thing with slate.

Cool thread. Back on track.

This is Nyah and Ko. Vizslas. She's almost 5, he's almost 2. Both are a total wild crazy pain in the ass, but they sure are fun.
