Looks good I like that size. I'm thinking 295/70/18's next round. I've got 275/70/18's currently.

I wanted to go bigger and I wanted to run the MTRs, but wanted it to be more travel friendly. The 18s look Awesome on the 100s! I'd like to find a pair an powder coat them on down the road...

I actually got to put 4L, Rear locker, and the V8 to use today! Had a friend call and tell me him and his wife were stuck in a field (2011 Ford F150 EcoBoost)... Pulled them out like it was nothing. Didn't push too hard because I don't want to sling this timing belt to pieces. Haha

In all my reading, I haven't found one instance of a timing belt break. Water pumps have failed along with idlers. Many cases of them going over 200k. Unless your truck was from an extremely dry area, it should be just fine until you change it out.

Your LC is looking great.

Not too sure where his anxiety is about this timing belt. I agree with you. Change it when you can. But don't stress out about it.

You don't know John Ed too well...if he finds a missing screw or bolt or nut laying under the truck or in the cabin...he is likely to search for it's home and then collapse in horror if he can't find where it came from...think he rebuilt his XJ front end twice because it made a funny sound, replaced the seals a couple times, replaced everything on the front and rear twice...
Paranoia haunts him...

The funny sound from the XJ was it's voice. The XJ's balls aint dropped yet.

CV reboot isn't that bad there are some excellent write ups about it. It's really just fairly mess and somewhat time consuming the first time. You should order a set of clamps from pfran as they are much better than the toyota clamps.

I have spent countless hours over-preparing for all this maintenance. You're right, several awesome write ups. I have considered contacting him about his clamp kit and LEDs. I will do that now! Thanks for the heads up.

When are you getting to Stony this weekend? I know you and Nicholas Ryan are coming...

how bout bring it up and we'll do it at camp. my floor jack will be there.

Oh, good point. Cullman doesn't have the internets. SMH.
What's that PM gone get you on a Friday?! Saturday?! And where you gone find the resources of that many cruiser folk in one place again?! I got a pelican case full of tools. Jack stands and a jack. Done.

Very Tempting.

If interested, you can get the stainless CV clamps from McMaster-Carr. Identical to Pfrans and have several for later.
