I have been doing some fishing for the past few years in areas with rocky access and have always wanted a 4x4 more dedicated than the F150 I usually drive in the winter. Ever since I was a kid I wanted a Jeep Wrangler. 30 years later I am in a position to start looking. After reviewing the cost of a Jeep Rubicon I thought to myself, this is nuts for what it is. There has to be a vehicle offering better overall value.
A friend, who is a member here, has a Land Cruiser. Land Cruisers have always been cool. Reserved capability and legendary durability. I started talking ... I started looking ... in a ridiculous way a LC makes more sense overall ... he pointed me here ...
I've been cruising the forum and photos for months. I'm not looking for a daily driver. We have other vehicles. It won't be winter driven. I want a truck to go hunting and fishing with friends and my family on crappy roads and I want it to last. It has to be able to tow a boat. So I've been talking with Eric Sarjeant for a few months and am narrowing down a spec for my purpose for his team to build. I'm hopeful we can nail it down even though the $ now has blown away my budget.
Life is short. Enjoy every day.
Chris.

That is an expensive hunting/fishing vehicle if new that won't be daily driven. More power to you though if you have the means. I know hunting can get expensive really fast. My buddy bought a 36' airstream for his hunting lease. I take a 20 year old LC100 hunting and fishing since I don't want to mess up the interior of my 200. Sometimes I think a truck is easier to throw my hunting or fishing gear in the bed and not worry about getting the interior dirty on the 100. When I go to the coast for duck hunting or fishing I take my dad's old F150. Don't want salt water on my suspension launching a boat or muddy salty gear on the inside. Good luck with your build.

@GT3 I just did something similar with @Eric Sarjeant. Mine is not a daily driver either so I added features that I wanted rather than what might be practical. Go nuts with it.

Indeed, life is short...a LC is the perfect mate for a GT3!
