I've got an '87 FJ60 and when I flip the switch to the first fan setting on the heating system the only thing that happens is the passenger seat heater turns on if its master switch is on. all the other settings work fine. My buddy tells me its a fuse, I think its possible its a feature to only have the aux heater on. thoughts?
thanks

My experience with older Toyota fan switches is when one of the speeds, typically the lower ones, stop triggering the fan, it is a bad fan switch.

Not uncommon over the years, at least from my travels.

Maybe your fan resistor module’s low speed coiled burned out. It’s usually the first to go since it gets the most heating and use

Yep, blower resistor. Always on wife about not using the lowest speed setting. #2 or higher.

Don't resist looking at the resistor.

Denso is the OEM (same as comes in a Toyota box)

@ToyotaMatt and other vendors sell them.
