2018 lc has smart remote but the interior light does not turn on brightly when door is unlocked either with key fog or door handle. The interior lights light up but it’s very very dim. The customization has interior lights set to turn on when unlocked. It is even set to Light on when approached but it does not do this either...anyone have an idea what’s wrong? What setting should be done? It must be a setting somewhere.... please set me on the right way...

Don’t think it is coz when you do open the door the lights brighten up.. soo guess the door switch is activated...

By the way dealer does not know why and said something stupid like to save energy and it’s normal. can you believe that! So I am forced to go to our experts here. 2018 vx

NP, unfortunately they don’t illuminate. There is a new thread somewhere that someone just installed some LEDs in there.
I installed LEDs in them and started a thread.

As far as the lights not coming on - something is screwed up as they would say. Mine come on when I even get close to the door - 2015 model.

They all do except the 2016 and later models that came in my country all don’t. I’m sure it’s simply a programming thing but the local importer is just to lazy to tell us or help us because very few of us enthusiast actually think ask about it
