I'm in the midst of a Monstaliner bedliner install. I've prepped with a rust encapsulating paint product called Zero Rust. It's a one step product much like many of the other rust stopper products. The interior of this FJ40 was a mish mash of layers of previous paint and cheapo bedliner installations by PO's. I wire wheeled it down to mostly bare metal and covered the whole interior with the Zero Rust in black. There are places like side walls and door posts where I won't be putting Monstaliner, so the Zero Rust will be acting as interior paint. Since the Zero Rust is not UV protected, I will need to clear coat it where there will be no Monstaliner. I grabbed a can of Rustoleum crystal clear enamel. I'm thinking it might be too glossy. I was unable to find anything in a clear coat that wasn't a gloss. Does anyone have suggestions on a clear coat they've had experience with that works well for interior use and holds up well to sun? Any application method should work for me.
