Hey folks,
I am drumming up interest in a lockable center console kit made in Texas for a 200 series with a cool box. Who has interest?
It would be similar to this: Console Safe 2007 - 2013 Toyota Tundra 2008-19 Sequoia LD2013

I would be interested... I know of at least one other person that I have heard of that was looking for this exact solution as well.

I hate when people steal my cold beers 😡

How hard would it be to remove if you want to use the cool box? Do you have to drill through the cool box to mount?

This. It needs some sort of either key lock or internal release so we can use our cool box.

I would not want to lose my cool box and I rarely leave my car unlocked... glove box is lock for that reason if I need it

If easily removed and not modifying/damaging the cool box, I'm in.

I wish someone would make a replacement locking panel for the split tailgate at least for one side or maybe both. I think a piece of plate steel with three tabs and two locks keyed the same for one side of the bottom part of the split tailgate.

Yep. It’s spendy at $500-600ish? but if you need that sort of storage, it’s out there. Pretty sure there is some metal cutting of your tailgate involved as well.

If you do go after a console safe - please look into high security lock options. The standard key/tubular/combo options aren't very good. Aren't good as in a screen door on a submarine sort of way. Yea, locks only keep honest people honest, but if spending that much, might as well do it right.

All in all though, I would be interested. Storage is an issue in the LC.

Btw- if looking for a firearm solution, might give this a look. With the cool box... console safes aren't a great option for the LC.
I have these in the house and I'm thinking about putting one in the LC

The wifi and fingerprint model is neat, but I skipped that stuff. The standard model with keypad access and key backup is good enough IMO. Comes with high security backup key by default.
