Installing gas tank, need quick advice...

is it ok to install a tank for a later model, and simply cap off the extra vapor lines? or, do i need to see about exchanging this one for the correct tank?

On my '70 I have one vapor line that goes back to the filler neck to help it breath. Other than that I have my two other lines that come off the top of my tank in a loop using fuel line and have been told by others that is ok to do. I just got mine running so I can't say it has worked fine for years.

That's ok. The tank doesn't work anyway. Nothing lines up.... Here's hoping I can swap it out at Cool Cruisers next week....
