Hello everyone,
I recently installed a joying head unit and now the rear speakers barely produce sounds. Basically only hear something coming from the domes tweeter in the center of the speaker. The speakers are definitely good. I plugged them into my other car and they worked great. And worked well before the install.

I pulled the joying unit out because I remember there being unconnected wires. Low and behold these specific wires aren't plugged into the harness. RR- RR+ RL+ RL

I'm certainly no car audio expert but it seems like these should be connected no? I have reached out to joying about this to see what they say.
There was a crappy dual head unit installed from the PO, and it has an axxess factory amp interface. Should I install that inline with the joying?

Joying is meant to be fully plug n play. I believe part of the install instructions say to set the factory radio to certain volume/balance. Those wires are for are for inline wiring to bypass factory connections

Thanks for the reply. They are set to what was specified in the instructions.

They're technically working I guess, they're just not producing as much sound as I thought they would be. The main woofer doesn't move at all.

Check the equalizer. I know there are some odd 3D and surround sound settings on my.Jeeps joying radio, that helped a lot when I changed them

Did you figure this out? I was messing with the Canbus settings and the volume changes dramatically depending on which one you select. Issue is there are a lot of different Lexus/Toyota Prado options and they all change how it sounds.

If you ever find canbus setting that works for the Fader function (front to rear balance), I would love to know what it is.

My new unit is supposed to come in today and I'll play around with settings again this weekend. I'm convinced that the Key/Can switch on the front of these newer models need to be switched to CAN, despite the instructions they send out saying Key. Will report back with findings.
