Installed Billsteins in my 80

Springs seemed fine and I did not change them. As I go through the truck, it seems much was done to it (like the 95+ front end) I am beginning the believe it is a frankenstein but it seems they did a good job.

I say this because it runs/drives like a much newer vehicle than it's miles would warrant. The powertrain works flawlessly, the engine burns/leaks no oil the diffs/tcase/birfields seem perfect. I am thinking it was all swapped in from newer/lower mile vehicles.

Where would I find the vin on the engine? do the other parts have vins? There is a number beginning with fzj80 on the frame on the right side that is different than the vin what does that mean?

Thanks

Hey kidpen - you can take the Ranchos I've been using - they appear to have more travel than the Bilsteins or OME. Just plain old white hydraulic Ranchos.

Specter sells them for twice what Summit does. I might be tempted to post the part numbers if anybody wants. For off roading they are fine. On road OK, but the gas shocks work better for asphalt.
