Great meeting tonight. Frank made a good suggestion to try to get the inspection day date on the books earlier than later. We have November 8,9,15,16,22 or 23 available. I'll leave this up here this month to see if anyone can't make certain days then just pick one based on that come August.

Event is in Fallbrook. 9am start to around 3pm come and go as you please. BBQ, sides and drinks provided.

I'd say farther from Thanksgiving probably better.

I like the November 8th day

I'm penciling in Nov. 8th

Lets start at 10 am. I had a 1 one too many margaritas to figure this one out too at the meeting- If more people people can come on Sunday that is fine with me. Sounded like a lot of kids sports games on Saturday. I'm totally flexible. Hopefully I didn't just overcomplicate things.

It might just be me with the kid's game. Brennan's intrepid team of 7 year olds ran the table and went undefeated in the regular season. All teams in this league make the playoffs which are 8AM to 3PM this Saturday. If his team loses the first game I am there. Even a second game loss would get me there in the afternoon. However, if they go the distance we will be at the field until 3 or even later.

Last year they lost almost every regular season game and somehow, at the playoffs, decided to play soccer for a change and won the championship. We were there as sun was setting.

Thanks for response Frank. I thought I heard some others in the same boat but let's keep it Saturday for the people that already had planned their weekend. See everyone Saturday. I'll be set up by 10, food at noon, stay as long as you like.

can you share your address in the private secion? Ill be there tomorrow.

Reminder: vehicle inspection tomorrow. Starts at 10 am. Food around noon.
Ping me if you can't find the address in the private section. It's kind of buried in a previous inspection post from 2023.

I was also thinking it might be a good time to make sure you have a valid California fire/stove permit if you do any camping. Additionally, if you are an active Beach N' Toys club member, ensure you also have the required TLCA membership and that it is current.

Well, 3 wins in the books today, we play for the championship at 3.

I missed the inspection but the Green Gozillas won 1st place!

Inspection day was a success. Thank you to all that showed up and especially Hamilton for doing a detailed inspection on each vehicle. I look forward to hosting again next year. Congrats to the Green Gozillas!

Shout out to Russ. What a great venue for hosting inspection day and the food was great! Turns out it was well worthwhile. A common theme was broken CV boots, compromised grease/dust boots for upper ball joints/tie rod ends/shocks, and badly worn various link bushings. We also found:
  • leaking front main seal, birfields, and oil pan gaskets
  • alignment/tire issues
  • pinched/restricted steel brake line
  • loose front wheel bearings
  • dented driveshaft
  • disconnected rear shock (top bolt missing)
  • various loose nuts and bolts
  • wires routed too close to exhaust
Thanks Russ!
