This is a pretty basic question. The prior owner of my 5/73 did not put much money into replacement parts. The door hinge pins were ?maybe from a wooden house door. The inner door hinges do not completely enclose the pin (roughly 1/2) and I can't tell if he cut them to accommodate the hinge pin, or if they are supposed to be that way, maybe so the pin can be removed more easily? looked at a lot of photos and some appear to complete enclose the pin and some may not. Any help?

This is what mine are like

I think the matching door hinge is standard. My prior owner must have switched to hard doors with standard hinges. Very helpful. That explains why he was using non-standard pins. A standard pin probably wouldn't stay in place. thanks so much. Mark
