Trying to restart my rebuild (now I remember why I don't buy stuff that needs WORK)

Is there a way to test you fuel injectors to see if they are spraying?? If anyone say to take this thing apart again.:bang::bang::bang::bang: But it seems like we are getting fuel.. the plugs smell like gas.. also if we give it a little ether. she will try to start...

Then of course there is the whole timing issue.. It seems we have it right. TDC on the crank with new balancer... cam is at TDC with the pin at 12 o'clock.

hey decavo you could still have it 180 out, when you but the new balancer on with the keys up was the rockers in the other post loose. i am not sure what to tell you. new mexico is a long ways from wv.

we put the key at 12 then put the cam at 12 installed the chain...

that was when we were aboe to get the cam to turn with out valves hitting the pistons.. the valves are all adjusted.... there are no vacume leaks no fuel leaks. there is a hissing sound coming from somewhere...

what will that do for me... The fuel is at the injectors... I had them all leaking until I replaced the o rings 3 times... Now there is no leaks and I do have fuel into the pistons we can smell it and feel it on them... I do have fire at the plug... I am missing something simp;e here

180 out...
it could be, look there are little circles on both the crank gear and cam gear, the crank gear needs to be at the bottom while the key way on the crank is straight up, the cam needs to be up then the the dizzy needs to be out then check your valves as per the other post and see what ones are loose. if both rocker arms are loose on #1 then you are at tdc compression put your dizzy in on #1 spark plug start the truck bring to operating temp and set the timming.
remember the cranck turns 2 times to the cams 1 time.

decovo the crank turns twice to the cams one turn, ok look bring it to top dead center with the dizzy cap off, now take your valve cover off and check that both rockers are free to move back and forth if not pull your dizzy and crank the engine 180* and reinstall your dizzy. this is a four stroke engine, first stroke #1 sucks air in through the open intake valve, #2 stroke then compresses the air fuel and at 5* before tdc the spark plug ignites the mixture,#3 stroke this explosion pushes the piston down,# 4 stroke when it returns to top dead center the exhaust valve is open and it pushes the spent gasses out.
