Junk- I don't think Steve-O was aggressively trying to sell here, just responding to the question asked. landtoy asked about injector cleaning service options, and Steve-O responded with one option. A lot of people (myself included) did not know such exchange services were available. BTW what happened to the FAQ addition suggestions I sent you?

Maybe you were too aggressive. :flipoff2:

I have a bunch I need to link. Thinking of doing a major overhaul. They'll all get there, but I'd like to reorganize it into sections and make it easier to follow.

looks like it's time for a set from MAF. Now if Steve-0 would just answer my question

Sorry about that Rick. If you buy our set up front, and pay the core charge, you will be refunded within 24 hours after they are recieved back. I guess it will depend what time in the day we get them back and how many core charges we have to do. Thanks for your interest Rick, talk to you soon. Steve.

I fourth the motion!! Sorry junk, I did not mean to come on to strong, I didnt think I was. I did mention our services yes, but I am not trying to sway anyones opion here. The bottom line is that I do recommend getting your injectors "cleaned," despite where you get them done, I feel that anyone on this board will be happy with the results. Steve.

We send stuff out to RC also and it is always a good thing to do. We also use a 3M system that hooks into the fuel rail and cleans the system. It is not near as good as a removal/rebuilding but much easier. The 3M kit is around $400 with adaptors and the chemicals run about $40 per job. It will make a hell of a difference.

Be wary of shops that offer EFI cleaning. many times it is a can of crap in the gas tank for $150.

Your response is lost on me? What is your intended meaning?

I guess I was suggessting that a group or club can buy the 3M kit then it costs around $40 to do each truck. Either way sending the injectors out is the best but more involved option.

Dont worry, it was a joke. I wasnt trying to offend you, earlier in the thread someone said they would club me because I am a vendor trying to sell stuff. You are also a vendor, and it looked like you were trying to sell stuff. Confused be if you me understand sorry?!?!?! Steve

We do use RC yes, but the benifits of going through us comes from the no downtime. We do send the print out's with the injectors also so you can see what the new flow ratings are, its pretty impressive. We did see an improvment in fuel mileage, and a slight performance increase. Overall the vehicle just runs much nicer. A dirty injector will definately waste fuel mileage, even more if you are at slow speeds or it is leaking. Keep in mind that every vehicle will yield different results. Thanks, Steve.

Steve do you send the print out for the exchange unit or do you send the print out for the old one when it comes back from RC or both? If both then I am interested!

If you buy a set of ours first, they come with the print out for those injectors. This is so you can see what they are going to perform like. As for your old ones, it might be a little difficult to track your axact set and send you a copy. I can understand wanting to see how your old ones were, but in order to do that you would have to send them in first and put down your vehicle. Soryr about that. Thanks, Steve.

As I have 2 LC that need a good FI cleaning, the OTC FI Cleaner or other rail cleaner might pay of its self.
I was looking at another one that has a carbon cleaner so you can do a full cylinder carbon removal.

I pulled all my injectors and took them to the local diesel injection shop. They ultrasonically cleaned them and flow tested them, put new o-rings on and bagged them up for $25 ea. I don't see any reason to send this work out to anyone three states away. If you are in a big enough town or close to one, there must be a diesel injection shop to help you out.

This isn't rocket science.

FYI, yes, I saw a huge improvement and the truck still purrrrrrrs like a kitten.

Keep the Cruiser Faith !
