This morning on the way to a doctor appointment I saw a couple of 4Runners for sale. I stopped to look on the way on the way home. Both are 3.4L v6 with auto.
The '98 is a limited and has factory e-locker. Has damage on front end from hitting a deer. Needs bumper, headlights, and a/c condenser. Nice leather interior with power everything and sunroof. Cranks and runs great. 200K miles. Has documentation of new timing belt, water pump about 6K miles ago.
The '97 needs head gasket? Possibly more. Cranks, but runs rough. Interior not as nice as the other, but mostly due to wear on drivers seat. 270K miles. He bought it for parts to fix the '98.
I bought both for $1800.
