hi, this is my first time here,but i have been reading a lot, i know i found something here about importing but i cant find it anymore. pls dont chastise me for asking again here, i just want to make sure i wont make the mistake . my brother told me that his nieghbor has bj 40 81 for sale he is in the philippines, I read before that if its over 25 year old you dont have problem in bringing it here? or do i still need to contact importer. i live in florida,orlando . but currently im deployed in IRAQ wont be back till may08 . thank you very much.

You might go on google, and check for "Importing vehicles" Last time I did, they had a very good section, written by US Customs, that told all that you need to know, and maybe more. I believe the general rule is 25 years, but there are some variances. Also, check the FAQ's here on MUD. Good luck, and keep your head down, we're proud of all you guys and gals.

Centino.Thanks for your service. Search in diesel tech section and you will find a lot of importing info.I used an import broker in Baltimore and all went well on importing a 1981 BJ42 from NZ
