I picked up a 1985 bj70 as a spare drivetrain for my 60. The 70 is going to the wreckers when I am done and I just want to pull some extra parts 70 owners find useful.

What spare parts do 70's often need?
ie. Sliding windows? E-brake? Birfields? Door mechanisms?

Yes it is lhd. 12v canadian spec. Is there much of a market for lhd conversion in the states? Most 70s that come over will be in way better condition than this one. I doubt anyone would want to use the parts from this one.
I'm not looking to start a "parting out thread" just looking for what parts 70's tend to need. Like maybe the wiper linkages seize often or something like that

Well if it has AC parts, expect to get a premium for that and is worth holding on to if you are doing a conversion yourself later.

If you do decide to sell parts, I would be interested in the gauge pod if it has MPH on it. If not, no big deal.

I would keep everything I could like:
glass, door cards, if electric actuators if not the handles for the windows, seats, seat brackets, dash, steering wheel, doors, hood (should not be rusted, but sounds like the rest is), latches particularly for the rear door, axles, engine, if it has A/C that sometimes i looked after, does it have one of those popular "tilt meter things"- those are sought after,

Anything from a 7* series is worth hanging onto. One of the last rebuildable vehicles left in the world. Keep anything not rusty/repairable.
Look at how the 40/45 series hoard parts.
